We’re looking for an inquisitive, charismatic, local expert to join our Discova tour guide team! If you are passionate about your home and love to share its incredible diversity with travelers from all over the world, this is the right fit for you!

About the Opportunity

As a Discova Tour Guide you are the face, voice, and feet on the ground of our company. You hold one of the most important roles in our business and support the Discova purpose: to connect people and places with a world of possibilities. You are a passionate ambassador for your country, our brand, and our clients. You will guide travelers on exceptional experiences, providing unique local insight, while learning along the way too.

About you

The Essentials:

• Valid Tour Guide License – if required by local law.
• Language skills – you can converse and express your sense of humour easily in English (other languages are an advantage).
• Hands on experience – minimum 1 year of experience or (min trip number).
• You are hungry to learn about the travel industry, products, attractions, and customers, and love the tours you guide.
• Strong knowledge of tour area, its features or attractions, local culture, history, society, and geography.

The Attributes:

• A great conversationalist with a good sense of humour and storytelling techniques. You are comfortable presenting to a large group.
• Well-developed problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Positive energy, bringing both professionalism and fun to the experiences you guide.
• Empathy – you have a genuine curiosity about clients and love to get to know them. You can put yourself in your customers’ shoes.
• Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working on a schedule that may include midnights, weekends and holidays.
• You see this as your profession – being professional includes being honest, well groomed, punctual, attentive, and courteous.
