Flight Centre Travel Groups (FCTG) Global Supply Tech business is a cross functional global team responsible for the procurement, technology, reporting, financial management, pricing and support of FCTG's global supply chain. Our Global Supply Tech team empowers our famous worldwide brands to deliver on their customer promise! 

As a Solution Architect within this collaborative and supportive team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and executing system-of-systems solutions, shaping the vision from inception to implementation. You will be involved from the start, analysing functional requirements remaining engaged throughout the project lifecycle. With expertise in diverse technology systems, you will design comprehensive solutions across hardware and software platforms, including infrastructure and applications.  

Collaborating closely with domain architects and business stakeholders, you will select the best technologies to meet organisational objectives, bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring seamless integration and performance. Working within a team of architects you will focus on enterprise, technical, and security aspects, aligning architecture strategies with business goals. 

Day to day: 

• Systems Architecture Development: Utilise suitable tools and models to develop system architectures tailored to specific business or functional areas, producing detailed specifications for implementation 

• Technical Planning and Collaboration: Assist with technical planning within business change programs, ensuring availability of technical resources, and working with business assurance and project teams 

• Expert Advice and Application: Provide guidance on technical aspects of system development and integration, ensuring adherence to strategies, policies, standards, and practices, including security 

• Consultancy and Client Engagement: Understand client requirements, conduct analysis, resolve problems, recommend options, and help clients leverage technical solutions effectively 

• Specialist Knowledge and Supervision: Maintain expert-level knowledge in specific IT specialisms, offering advice and potentially supervising specialist consultancy activities 

• Emerging Technology Monitoring: Keep up with new technologies, evaluate their relevance and potential, and inform staff and management of insights gained from market monitoring 

You'll be perfect for the role if you have: 

• Bachelor's level degree  

• Experience using Microsoft Azure Cloud Technology 

• Background as a Business Analyst (Desirable) 

• History with agile software development, working using the appropriate agile methodologies and lean practices
