General Manager, FCM Japan

 About the Opportunity

We are looking for a General Manager to join us and be the ultimate brand ambassador for FCM in Japan - with customers, suppliers and our people.

As the General Manager, Japan, you must have ambition, demonstrated experience leading a business, strong business acumen, and customer centric passion to lead FCM business. You will be responsible for delivering operational excellence by leading and inspiring teams, connecting and collaborating with customers, building key relationships with suppliers and industry peers and driving business outcomes to grow the FCM brand. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the strategic direction and execute FCM Japan strategy to secure market leadership position within the corporate travel management market in Japan and Asia.
  • Collaborate with regional and global discipline leaders to define the appropriate brand's strategy for Japan market
  • Responsible for delivering top and bottom-line growth
  • Connecting and collaborating with customers to improve their travel program and deliver tangible improvements
  • Improve customer satisfaction and engagement
  • Partner with regional and local technology teams to ensure that the FCM technology product offering continues to support and differentiate our overall business strategy.
  • Support marketing and PR initiatives that target FCM positioning as a market leader within the corporate travel management space.
  • Be the cross functional leader across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product Management to ensure monthly and quarterly business execution excellence
  • Drive culture and the brightness of future of people in line with FCM DNA and FCTG philosophies
  • Identifies, nurtures, develops, and promotes talent from within and build an inclusive and diverse management team
  • Measuring success and holding people accountable through Key Performance Indicators that are measurable and achievable.
  • Interprets risk and opportunities and understands the financial levers
  • Operates ethically and within the realms of good corporate governance

 

Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years in a senior management role
  • Experience working within B2B businesses; willingness to “roll up the sleeves” and get the deal done
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding performance objectives
  • Strong business acumen and analytics skills to drive business strategy and decisions
  • Exceptional and fluent communicator
  • Proven track record to grow, develop and retain top talent
  • Can work effectively and efficiency within a matrixed business environment
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills to inspire, align and enable a large team across all functions to drive a successful business
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and with a challenging workload.

Desirable

  • Travel industry / Sales and Marketing experience
  • Understanding of technology development processes, has built, or led a technology start up
