We are looking for a mid level Mobile Quality Engineer to join our Digital Products team, to define and improve processes, identify, and mitigate risks, coach and mentor developers, implement tooling and automation solutions for the team. 

In this role, you will lead the efforts in assessing and mitigating risks, solving quality challenges, and implementing changes to improve engineering efficiency. You will also coach developers on quality assurance and improve processes across team together.

 

Day to day:

  • Drive quality as an end-to-end responsibility of the whole team 

  • Develop & maintain automated API and UI test frameworks 

  • Coordinate with product and engineering teams to ensure quality is considered early and throughout the development lifecycle 

  • Pair with and coach developers on testing practices and test automation 

  • Work with other teams on general automation initiatives, e.g. data preparation, environment setup, etc 

  • Deliver quality reporting and dashboards to improve visibility and transparency 

  • Identify and remediate quality and process limitations 

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of test quality by undertaking reviews and recommending improvements 

  • A solid understanding of modern application deployment methodologies and cloud infrastructure 

 

You'll be perfect for the role if you have:

  • 5+ years' experience in application, system integration, API and E2E testing 

  • Experience using mobile app test automation tools such as BrowserStack 

  • Experience in using JS based test automation tools Maestro/Appium/Jest 

  • Experience with API testing frameworks such as Postman, Selenium 

  • Experience adding/maintaining automation tests and quality gates into CICD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions 

  • Experience in coaching and mentoring team members on quality engineering practices and processes 

  • Familiarity with Programming (React Native, Swift, Android, Kotlin) 

  • 3+ years’ experience in planning, coordinating and reporting on test efforts for projects
