Day in the life:

  • Morning Kick-Off:
    Start by reviewing key metrics, project updates, and stakeholder communications to stay informed about current business and technology trends

  • Strategic Alignment Meetings:
    Engage with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to discuss ongoing initiatives, align IT solutions with business goals, and identify new opportunities

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Meet with the broader Business Relationship Management team to understand their evolving needs, gather feedback on service performance, and provide guidance on upcoming projects or changes

  • Vendor and Partner Coordination:
    Review vendor performance reports to ensure we are delivering value for our customers

  • Problem Solving & Decision-Making:
    Address any issues or roadblocks that arise, using your expertise to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders

  • Planning & Strategy Development:
    Collaborate with the Strategy and Product Management teams on strategic documents, roadmaps, and proposals to drive future initiatives that enhance service delivery and support the company’s long-term vision

  • End-of-Day Wrap-Up:
    Summarize the day’s insights, update key stakeholders, and prepare for the next day’s challenges and opportunities

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align IT initiatives with business goals and create a clear, actionable roadmap
  • Relationship Management: Proven experience building and maintaining strong partnerships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Effective Communication: Exceptional skills in bridging the gap between technical teams and business units, ensuring clarity and collaboration
  • Problem Solving: A proactive approach to identifying challenges and turning them into opportunities for improvement
  • Leadership & Team Development: Strong leadership capabilities to inspire, manage, and develop high-performing teams
  • Vendor Management: Expertise in negotiating, managing, and evaluating vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Change Management: Ability to guide organisations through transitions with minimal disruption while driving innovation

 

Even if you don't have all the below, we'd still like to hear from you:

  • 5 to 10+ years’ experience in IT-business interfacing roles (e.g, application, product, projects, portfolio, strategy, or service delivery)
  • 5 – 10 years of leadership experience across technology domains
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Familiarity with IT service models (e.g., ITIL), project management, and agile delivery
  • 5+ years championing organisational change
  • Tertiary level qualification in related field
  • Business Relationship Professional (BRMP)
  • Certified Business Relationship Management CBRM (with certificates or experience preferred)
  • ITIL* 4 Foundation or Managing Professional
  • Master of Business Relationship Management (MBRM)
  • COBIT*
  • Certifications in Agile and other related project discipline
