Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize our Microsoft Azure cloud environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and management of highly available, secure cloud solutions that align with our business needs. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic learner with a strong foundation in cloud technologies and a passion for mentoring others.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security.
• Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure.
• Analyze existing operational standards and processes to identify and implement improvements.
• Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.
• Manage security and access controls for cloud-based solutions.
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using cloud-native tools to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments.
• Implement policy-driven data protection best practices to safeguard cloud solutions from data loss.
• Support cloud adoption of applications during their transformation and modernization.
• Ensure all infrastructure components meet performance and capacity standards.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address and resolve technical escalations.

 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure, including design, deployment, configuration, and optimization.
• 2+ years of experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions.
• Experience in the design and operation of medium to large-scale enterprise infrastructure, databases, and application systems.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks.
• Proficiency in IaC development with Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and PowerShell.
• Proficient with GIT for source code management.
• Experience with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Jira and ServiceNow.
• Competence across a broad range of IT skills, including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security, and CI/CD tooling.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with keen attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross-functional partners.
