About The Opportunity

This is a maternity coverage role until February 2026.

The ideal applicant will oversee the Diligent financial & fraud monitoring program's 2nd line functions to ensure transactions comply with internal policies and financial controls. Manage the sourcing, integration, and analysis of data from various systems into Diligent to identify financial misconduct.

Monitor and review analytics generated by Diligent and direct financial reviews to address the most relevant risks, while managing diligent operations effectively by fine-tuning or creating new ECL scripts as needed.

You will collaborate with other risk and finance functions globally to ensure a cohesive approach to transaction monitoring.
Implement additional business areas into the monitoring program including testing and validation.  Identify and implement improvements to the transaction monitoring processes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Fraud & Misconduct Investigations

  • Conduct internal and external investigations into suspected fraudulent activities and financial misconduct.
  • Determine the best investigative approach for each case, ensuring key questions are addressed while supporting legal requirements.
  • Support the collection of information and documentation of evidence, including interviewing employees, related to investigations.
  • Compile detailed investigation reports, including findings, evidence, recommendations for corrective actions, and referrals to law enforcement.

Reporting

  • Deliver consolidated management reporting to various stakeholders on findings, issues, risks and recommendations identified during monitoring activities.
  • Provide analysis on whether controls and risk management process implemented by management are designed and operating effectively.
  • Maintain and report on identified finance risks and recommendations on how to address each. Identify and report on value added opportunities such as process improvements, control simplification and cost saving initiative.

Finance Management Support

  • Support finance to develop action plans to address issues identified in the Diligent monitoring program.
  • Provide feedback of the outcomes of action plans implemented by finance stakeholders to mitigate risks.
  • Support management with ad-hoc projects and tasks, ranging from brief collaboration to extensive engagements.
  • Assist finance management with designing and implementing controls as required.
  • Assist finance management with developing and communicating finance policies and procedures.
  • Analyze the impact of material changes, such as new systems, on internal controls including the Diligent monitoring program, as well as external compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate monthly meetings with finance management to review current and emerging risks.

Guidance, Training & Workshops

  • Conduct ongoing training to the finance stakeholders on general risk awareness, identified risks, policy & procedures, and controls.
  • Participate in conducting companywide general risk awareness training.
  • Participate in finance risk identification & assessment workshops.

Experience & Qualifications

Qualifications/Certifications: Risk management qualification, program enrolment, or professional accounting designation or certification. Advanced designation such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) highly desirable.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an audit or risk role (internal or external).
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to understand and challenge business processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proactive issue remediation including control design.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for relationship building at all levels.
  • Strong customer focus and teamwork skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • High degree of flexibility to deal with change, growth and pressure.

Desirable: Experience in data analytics tools and scripting (such as ECL).

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $100,000. Base salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
