About The Opportunity

WhereTo is seeking a results-driven and innovative Product Manager to join our team, specializing in Flight products. WhereTo is a nimble, startup minded team within Flight Centre Travel Group focused on building the next-generation business travel platform that serves two of Flight Centre’s main business travel brands, Corporate Traveller and FCM.

As the Product Manager on the Flight team, you will play an important role in shaping the future of our flight related product offering. This role requires a strategic thinker with an understanding of the travel industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for the Flight component, aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and user needs in the aviation industry.

Feature Prioritization and Roadmap Planning:

  • Define and prioritize features and enhancements for the Flight product roadmap, based on user feedback, market demands, and business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to ensure successful product delivery.

User Experience Optimization:

  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and seamless flight booking experiences for our users.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate on product designs and functionalities.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of Flight products.
  • Analyze data and user feedback to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Work with the Product Management Lead of your department to communicated product strategies and updates to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders related to the Flight products you manage, including internal teams and external partners.
  • Communicate product updates, roadmap plans, and project statuses effectively to stakeholders.

Product Launch and Lifecycle Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for Flight products, from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing maintenance.

Experience & Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Product Manager, (preferably with a focus on flight-related products or services).
  • Demonstrated success in driving product development and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of the travel industry, including airline operations, distribution channels, and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with flight booking systems, GDS platforms, and airline APIs is a plus.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and user feedback to inform product decisions.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.

Leadership Abilities:

  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards a shared vision and goals.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, with the confidence to make tough decisions when necessary.

Customer Focus:

  • Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering products that exceed their expectations.
  • Experience with user-centered design principles and methodologies is desirable.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $100,000 - $130,000. Base salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
