The Role

Client Management

  • Work closely with senior leadership to deliver professional, seamless service.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and grow accounts.
  • Attend client meetings and immerse in their brand and industry landscape.
  • Provide leads to other teams within the events function.
  • Arrange venue visits and offer on-site support where needed.

Event Planning

  • Lead medium-sized events from planning through to delivery and reconciliation.
  • Manage RFP processes and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Support larger events led by senior colleagues and assist with delegate management.
  • Provide comprehensive post-event feedback and reporting.

Facilities & Services

  • Oversee coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure quality service delivery.

Financial & Contract Management

  • Develop and manage event budgets, including negotiating contracts.
  • Ensure timely payment processing, invoicing, and financial reconciliation.
  • Maximize revenue through up-selling and partnership opportunities.
  • Adhere to contract terms and cancellation policies.

Logistics

  • Manage room setups, AV requirements, catering, and rooming lists.
  • Ensure proper use of internal tools and technology platforms.

Programme Delivery

  • Prepare and distribute post-event documentation and insights for client review.

Team Collaboration

  • Maintain an active pipeline of upcoming events in line with team strategy.
  • Support and mentor junior staff.
  • Attend internal training and external industry events.
  • Adhere to company policies and business continuity plans.
  • Provide out-of-hours support when required.

About You

  • 2–3 years of experience managing various event formats (meetings, accommodation, team building, etc.)
  • Strong business development and upselling ability.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages a plus.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, project tools, and venue sourcing platforms.
  • Knowledge of event tech platforms (Cvent or similar).
  • Strong industry knowledge (UK and international destinations and suppliers).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong commercial awareness, budgeting, and financial management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and deliver events on-site.
