Purpose:
In this role, you will be part of the financial team that looks after the financial accounting for some of the key Leisure Brand in Australia. This role requires you to have a disciplined financial control mindset, diligent work ethic, be proactive in finding solutions, have strong customer and teamwork skills, time management skills and ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment. This will be an onsite role based out of our South Bank, QLD HQ.
Primary Accountabilities & Objectives:
- Month-end accounting for the Leisure business to assist in the GL close process, including Cash
- Management and recording, Wage Calculations and Debtors/Creditors recording
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations across the Leisure business
- Protect our business by monitoring and reviewing at-risk items
- Timely and accurate preparation of monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reviews
- Assist with half year and year end statutory audits
- Constantly look to improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes
- Assist with special projects and the implementation of systems and process improvement initiatives as they arise
- Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and FCL minimum standards for financial systems and processes
Education & Qualifications
- CA/CPA qualified
- 2-3 experience in an accounting role
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar
- Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
- High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth, and pressure
