About The Opportunity

Flight Centre AI Centre of Excellence (part of Flight Centre Travel Group) is looking for a passionate, motivated and skilled AI engineer to join our growing Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the team leading the charge on internal productivity enhancement and automation.

We are looking for a self-motivated team player who will contribute to our culture of engineering and is excited to work with emerging technologies in the AI productivity space.

Key Responsibilities

As an AI engineer with the FCTG AI team, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing, and implementing AI models and algorithms to solve complex internal business problems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into operational platforms· Developing automation integrations and flows to increase internal efficiency
• Developing highly scalable AI systems that handle large datasets effectively
• Conducting research to stay at the cutting edge of AI technology and applying innovative ideas to existing processes
• Implementing standards and guidelines for ethical AI development and operation
• Monitoring and troubleshooting issues related to AI model performance in production environments

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field
• 2+ years of professional experience in AI and machine learning roles
• Proficiency with latest AI technologies, LLMs, and best practices
• Strong programming skills in Python, Ruby, Javascript
• Experience with automation tools like Zapier, Make, N8n
• Experience with integrating 3rd party APIs
• Understanding of web service API implementation and integration
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for AI implementation
• Solid foundation in algorithms and data structures
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems
