About your opportunity...
We are looking for a skilled professional to join the team as our Financial Controller: Germany and Netherlands.
What you will be doing:
- Strengthening Financial Controls – Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls in Germany and Netherlands to minimize write-offs, enhance cost management, and safeguard revenue.
- Ensuring Accuracy & Compliance – Uphold group accounting standards and policies, ensuring all financial records are precise and compliant.
- Owning Balance Sheet Reconciliations – Conduct monthly reconciliations, taking proactive steps to resolve issues and maintain financial integrity.
- Managing Financial Close – Guarantee the timely closure of the Trial Balance, hitting deadlines with precision (Day 4 close).
- Regulatory & Audit Support – Assist in regulatory reporting and collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth processes.
- Driving Efficiency – Work closely with other finance teams to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency across the department.
- Delivering Insightful Reporting – Produce accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports, ensuring they are both timely and insightful for decision-making.
- Providing Actionable Analysis – Generate ad-hoc reports that not only present data but also offer clear recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
This is what sets you apart:
- Education: Completed degree in business administration or economics.
- Work experience: Several years of experience in controlling, preferably in an international company.
- Knowledge: Solid expertise in financial accounting according to HGB and IFRS.
- Software: Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel. Experience with MS Dynamics is desirable.
- Language skills: Proficient in German and English (C1 level); Dutch is a plus.
- Personal skills: Strong affinity for numbers, structured working style, accuracy, reliability, and team spirit.
