As the Quality Assurance (QA) Lead you will drive and manage testing across multiple Agile teams, ensuring that testing activities align with Agile sprints, iterations, and project goals and that product quality is maintained and continuously improved throughout the software development lifecycle. This role emphasises close collaboration with cross functional teams to efficiently deliver high-quality software.

Day to day:

 

Lead Agile Testing Initiatives

  • Coordinate testing across multiple Agile teams, ensuring that quality practices are integrated into every stage of the Agile lifecycle, from sprint planning to release

End-to-End Testing

  • Oversee end-to-end testing of features and user stories, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage across all aspects of the product, including user flows and system integrations

Test Planning & Execution in Agile Sprints

  • Develop and maintain test plans that align with Agile sprints
  • Review user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items to ensure they are testable
  • Manage test execution during sprints, ensuring timely delivery of test results and defect tracking

Quality Metrics and Reporting

  • Define, track, and report on key quality metrics such as defect density, code coverage, and test effectiveness in an Agile context
  • Provide timely and actionable insights to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with sprint and release goals

You'll be perfect for the role if you have:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Proven experience leading quality initiatives in an Agile setting, managing testing efforts across multiple teams
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and how they apply to software testing
  • Experience with test automation in an Agile environment and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide teams through Agile best practices
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions and continuous process improvement
