About the role:
As the Leisure Transactional Finance Lead, you will assist the Head of Transactional Finance (HOTF) with process improvements, efficiency, and accuracy within the Transactional Finance (TF) department focusing on the Leisure pillar.
The Leisure TF Lead plays a critical role in managing the financial health and operational efficiency of the Leisure brands and takes full ownership of the TF operational teams and the various financial systems that support the Leisure brands.
This position combines accounting expertise with operational insights to ensure accurate financial reporting in line with FCTG Group Accounting Policies, effective control, and streamlined processes. The role involves working closely with various departments to support day-to-day operations, stepping in to support the TF department leads when the need arises.
This role focuses on optimizing financial processes, driving automation, supporting data analysis, managing strategic initiatives system upgrades and training and collaborating with teams to enhance financial performance.
The role will guide the professional development of direct reports and ensure regular 1:1’s.
This role will support operational leaders in the Leisure pillar acting as a Finance Business Partner.
This role will be the owner of process excellence within the TF Leisure pillar in RSA and the role will evolve in response to the changing needs of the business. Success in this role depends on someone who is detail-oriented yet capable of seeing the bigger picture, flexible and eager to learn, while also offering feedback on areas for improvement. Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong background in transactional finance and process improvement.
- Experience with data analysis, project management, and process optimization.
- Strong EQ and ability to multi-task
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools like Freshdesk, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration across teams and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to provide guidance and training to teams to support change management.
- Proven ability to resolve complex queries in a timely manner.
- Team player with a focus on achieving team goals.
Requirements:
- BCOM accounting or similarly ranked Qualification combined 3+ years of experience in a finance role
- or 10+ years in a finance role with proven accounting skills and financial studies are being completed.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting procedures.
- High proficiency with financial software and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and written skills in English.
