About The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to work closely with the Global Head of PR and Communications, and Asia’s Head of Marketing to lead the strategic development and hands-on execution of Corporate PR strategy to position the company, its corporate brands and executives in top-tier domestic media outlets in countries Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Japan and Malaysia.
You will also support FCTG Asia’s leisure brands including Scott Dunn, Discova, and Cross Hotels & Resorts with press releases and reactive PR.
Leverage on your experience in media relations, public relations and senior stakeholder engagement to build, drive and deliver media and communication strategies and corporate marketing programs across the region. This is a pivotal role where you will lead the direction, having a direct contribution to, and impact on the achievement of our business goals.
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Annual PR Strategy
Develop a full-year region-specific PR strategy & activity plan for FCM Asia in collaboration with Regional Brand Marketing and Operations that reflects business objectives. Devise accompanying regional narrative to engage with key prospects and customers that elevate our brands and promote the industry and benefits of travel management consultancy.

Local PR Activation
Execute PR activities, initiatives and events to engage with key stakeholders in Asia. Create news-worthy stories that capitalise on trending topics, while pitching latest developments and securing commentary opportunities for business leaders. To work with the Global PR & Communications and Corporate Brand Marketing teams to ensure that all PR activity appropriately positions each of our FCM Asia as leaders in their segment.

Press Office
Act as the main point of contact for media in Asia. Respond quickly and accurately to day-to-day journalist enquiries escalating with the Global PR & Communications and senior leadership as appropriate.

Media Relations
Cultivate strong relationships with top tier Asia travel/trade, news, business and consumer media and their contributors. Secure regular briefings to ensure that FCM, Scott Dunn, Discova, Cross Hotels & Resorts remain top of mind. Proactively pitch original story angles and the latest company news alongside local developments and initiatives. Maintain and develop a database of key Asian media contacts. Work closely with Head of Marketing and Brand Managers to advise and guide limited outreach in select Asian countries.

Social Media
Work in partnership with the Content team to use social media channels to engage with Asia-based journalists (e.g. monitor blogs/Twitter feeds of top-tier media for feature story opportunities and pitch media online when relevant).

Crisis Communications
Support the Asia Leadership teams (Marketing & Senior Management) on issues affecting the company. Develop speed to market & crisis communication response - gather facts, and create reactive media statements and FAQs while keeping the Global PR & Communications informed. Field and respond to incoming media requests to positively position FCTG Corporate Brands.

Media Events
Able to independently organise and facilitate media events.

Press and Briefing Materials
Oversee development, approvals and updating of press kit materials, including press releases, fact sheets, bios, backgrounders, etc. for Asia. Prepare briefing materials and messaging/positioning documents for executives in preparation for media interviews.

PR Measurement & Evaluation
Measure results and impact of PR outreach in alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) and leverage media monitoring & measurement tools. Focus on top-tier media and feature story press coverage in the domestic market. Contribute to Global PR reports and keep regional brand and operational teams updated on resulting coverage.

Customer Communications
Assist with customer communications when needed including service emails, and incidents Crowdstrike etc. Assist the Head of Marketing of Asia with proofing and editing of communications when she is unavailable to support the team.
Assist with events including but not limited to; Singapore Summit, GBTA India, town-hall meetings, and annual kick-off meetings. Help to keep colleagues informed and engaged by celebrating achievements and sharing details of relevant regional news and initiatives on Workplace, and briefing Social Media team to post on News page and Social Media channels.
We’d love to hear from you if you have...
- At least 6 years’ experience in public relations, having held a similar in-house or PR agency position
- Bachelor’s degree (ideally in Communication, Journalism, Marketing or Business)
- Experience in the Corporate Travel/Travel Industry is highly preferred
- The ability to convert communications strategy into effective PR activities that address brand and business imperatives
- Experience in working across large cross-functional teams within complex, global environments.
- Clear communicator with superb writing and messaging skills
- Strong media and industry contacts within the local market (travel/trade, business, news etc.)
- Experience in managing PR agencies a plus
- Event management capabilities requiring strong strategic content support and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience managing budgets
- Demonstrated ability to craft and implement broad digital/social campaigns with success
- Well-organised and able to multi-task and prioritise workload
- High level of adaptability and demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast and agile landscape
- Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin highly preferred
