The Assistant Manager - Airlines Ticketing will be responsible for overseeing negotiations with airlines to secure optimal travel options, providing timely fare information to Sales staff, ensuring accurate ticket issuance, prompt billing, and efficient management of cancellations and refunds. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, along with a deep understanding of international travel dynamics and a minimum of 3 years of experience using Amadeus as a Global Distribution System (GDS).

 

Key Result Areas:

 

  • Negotiate with airlines to secure the best available travel options.
  • Provide accurate and competitive fares to Sales staff within established turnaround times.
  • Ensure minimal errors in ticket issuance processes.
  • Manage billing processes to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Minimize cancellations and facilitate timely processing of refunds.

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in airlines ticketing, travel management, or related roles.
  • Experience using Amadeus as a Global Distribution System (GDS) with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience.
  • Certification in Travel and Tourism (e.g., IATA certification) is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations with airlines and efficient management of ticketing operations.
