About the opportunity 

This new position with Discova seeks a highly skilled UI/UX Developer with a proven track record in designing and developing intuitive user interfaces for Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications. The ideal candidate understands the principles of user experience, design software, and front-end development technologies. This position is essential to gathering and analysing user requirements, creating flow charts and prototypes, designing visually appealing interfaces, and developing custom front-end components. 

 

The successful candidate will be based in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City and have a strong portfolio demonstrating their ability to create user-centred designs that meet business objectives. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Create visually appealing and user-friendly designs for digital products, aligned with the Discova branding guidelines and style sheets. 

  • Collaborate with numerous stakeholders and business professionals to understand business requirements and user needs. 

  • Conduct comprehensive user research by employing various methodologies (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing) to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points. 

  • Utilize user insights to inform design decisions by leveraging the findings from user research to create intuitive, user-centred interfaces that meet their expectations. 

  • Continuously gather feedback from users and incorporate it into design iterations to ensure optimal user experience. 

  • Develop Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions based on technical requirements. 

  • Collaborate with the Discova IT teams to build, test, and deploy software. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues. 

  • Provide technical support and expertise. 

  • Estimate and manage project timelines through project management. 

  • Review and improve code quality to omit errors and staying abreast of the latest developments in coding for mitigating irregularities. 

  • Collaborate with business analysts to define requirements. 

  • Develop technical solution designs and implementation plans. 

  • Collaborate closely with Seattle IT teams (Systems Engineer, DBA, QA, etc.) to develop, test, deploy, and maintain software using bespoke and industry-standard practices across various environments (e.g. Sandbox/DEV/QA/UAT/PROD).  

  • Respond to incidents and events with a systematic approach to assess and troubleshoot all types of production issues (performance, access, accuracy, etc.).  

  • Consistently break down large tasks into manageable work-in-progress units, provide accurate estimates for these work packages, summarise the work into a reliable schedule, and monitor the work through assigned project management tools. 

 

About You 

The Essentials 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field. 

  • Proven experience in UI and UX designing user interfaces using tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or InVision. Strong understanding of web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and UI design guidelines (Material Design, iOS Human Interface Guidelines, or Bootstrap). 

  • Expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design to create intuitive and engaging user experiences. 

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 application configuration, customization, and development using plug-ins and custom workflows. 

  • Technical Understanding: Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 application architecture and design principles. 

 

The attributes 

  • Fully proficient in front-end development i.e. HTML, CSS, and at least one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, PHP, or Ruby on Rails. 

  • Deep understanding of asynchronous request handling, web development, partial page updates, and AJAX. 

  • Basic familiarity with image authoring tools like Photoshop or Gimp. 

  • Committed to delivering exceptional customer service and meeting high standards. 

  • Meticulous and precise in work, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality. 

  • Effective at prioritizing tasks, managing deadlines, and working efficiently under pressure. 

  • Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus. 

  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. 

  • Flexible and open to change, capable of juggling multiple tasks and working outside of regular office hours when necessary. 

  • Collaborative and supportive, able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
