FCM Meetings and Events is looking for an energetic and proactive go-getter to join the Meetings and Events team as a Business Development Executive (BDE) to underpin the Sales and Account Management team.

About the Opportunity  

The primary focus of this role to support the Sales and Account Management team by building effective and creative client proposals, this includes (but not limited to) building program budgets, proposing creative ideas to meet brief, venue and supplier resourcing and negotiations. 

This role can be based in our Sydney or Melbourne Head Office. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Research and support in building compelling proposals. 

  • Customer quoting and building budgets. 

  • Submitting RFPs for venue sourcing (including business preferred suppliers) 

  • Exploring feasibility solutions to client brief. 

  • Building effective supplier relationships to ensure access to competitive and quality products. 

  • General team administration as required. 

What you will bring to the role: 

  • Demonstrated sales skills in the same or a similar role - with a preference for someone with event experience. 

  • Demonstrated customer service experience. 

  • MICE product experience preferred. 

  • Technical skills across Event Management platforms preferred. 

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

  • Detail oriented – ensuring the BDMs and AMs are well supported in producing quality proposals, limiting re-work, and ensuring accuracy.

  • Creative – Bringing ideas that surprise and delight to the table.
