🔑 About the Role:

As our new Event Manager, you will lead the planning and execution of meetings, incentives, and events for a diverse client portfolio. You'll be accountable for end-to-end event delivery, client relationship management, budget control, supplier negotiations, and process optimisation. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of a world-class M&E function in South Africa.

🚀 Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage end-to-end event delivery: from brief to execution

• Develop and maintain strong client and supplier relationships

• Manage budgets, timelines, and critical paths across multiple events

• Negotiate the best rates and savings for clients

• Provide leadership and support to team members as needed

• Ensure all events are delivered in line with FCM’s systems and standards

• Support the Business Leader with financial reporting and monthly targets

• Deliver outstanding client experiences, every time

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years' experience in event, conference, or incentive management

• Proven experience managing offshore events, large-scale logistics, and complex programs

• In-depth knowledge of MICE products, destinations, and key suppliers

• Comfortable delivering hybrid and virtual events (desirable)

• Strong understanding of event operations and processes

• Confident in Microsoft Office, with experience using Cvent (essential)

• Experience with Wrike or other project management tools (advantageous)

• A passion for client service, creative problem solving, and collaboration

• Degree in Event Management or relevant industry experience (preferred)
