We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to oversee and lead testing efforts across multiple Agile teams.

The role will ensure that testing activities align with Agile sprints, iterations, and project goals, ensuring that product quality is maintained and continuously improved throughout the software development lifecycle. This role emphasises close collaboration with cross functional teams to efficiently deliver high-quality software. It also involves a strong focus on continuous delivery, automation, and risk-based testing to ensure the product meets high standards while following Agile principles and processes.

Day to day:

  • Lead, mentor, and train QA engineers within Agile teams, promoting Agile testing best practices and continuous improvement

  • Oversee end-to-end testing of features and user stories, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing

  • Develop and implement Agile-based testing strategies, methodologies, and standards

  • Ensure that all teams adhere to Agile testing principles such as TestDriven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and continuous integration

  • Collaborate and work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, break them into testable user stories, and ensure effective test coverage

  • Plan and execute testing within Agile sprints by developing aligned test plans, reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria for testability, and managing timely test execution, results delivery, and defect tracking

  • Drive test automation within Agile processes by collaborating with development teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, supporting fast feedback and continuous delivery

  • Define and monitor key quality metrics—such as defect density, code coverage, and test effectiveness—and deliver timely, actionable insights to stakeholders to support Agile sprint and release goals

You'll be perfect for the role if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

  • Proven experience leading quality initiatives in an Agile setting, managing testing efforts across multiple teams

  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and how they apply to software testing

  • Experience with test automation in an Agile environment and CI/CD pipelines

  • Expertise in QA methodologies, Agile testing approaches (e.g., TDD, BDD), and the software development lifecycle

  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, etc.)

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)

  • Knowledge of performance and security testing approaches and tools.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional Agile teams

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, iterative environment
