Flight Centre Travel Group and FCM are looking for a Commercial Analyst to joining the team, this role is analytically based, with a focus on continuously identifying and executing value-add projects. The main objective in this role will be to maximise revenue opportunities and investment returns with a focus of minimizing costs.

Day to Day focuses:
Commercial Acumen

Support commercial decision-making to drive profit and capital return improvements

Develop and enhance reporting to align with business needs and support continuous improvement

Build commercial models to evaluate profitability of business strategies

Deliver value-add analysis to help stakeholders make informed decisions

Communicate commercial impacts of past and future business activities to stakeholders

Prepare financial models and business case scenarios
Financial Reporting & Analysis

Review and report on financial and non-financial KPIs
-
Monitor and report on business cashflow
-
Provide monthly performance reporting and analysis for decision-making

Identify and report on key risk areas to support the financial accounting team

Monitor and report on key contract performance, especially for call centre and outsourced finance partners

Analyse and report on store network investments with insights and recommendations

Track and report on trading performance, KPIs, and targets

Analyse and report on People & Culture metrics, including remuneration

Provide insights and recommendations regarding cash holdings
Ad Hoc Commercial Support & Analysis

Identify, manage, and monitor risks and actions to realise commercial project benefits

Extract and convert data into insights through analytics and modelling
-
Identify and deliver continuous value-add projects

Review key contract terms to ensure commercial opportunities are maximised
Experience and Qualification:
- Experience in PowerBI or other similar data visualisation technologies required
- Comfortable using Power Query/Data Brick with Excel to manipulate, transform and present data
- High level of ownership
- High attention to detail
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills
- Advanced time management and prioritisation skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to communicate complex financial information simplistically
- Bachelor of Business or other relevant graduate degree
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role (Analytical / Reporting role)
