About the Opportunity
As the Productivity Operations Program Leader you will be responsible for ensuring that Flight Centre Brand's productivity objectives are met, through delivering projects in accordance with the agreed strategic direction and scope (on time, budget and scope). You are recognised as an expert in the field of project management, including business case development, prioritisation and benefits realisation.
You will be managing a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts and Data Insight resources, in both a direct and "leader of leaders" capacity.
Reporting to the Global Customer Engagement Leader, you will be required to maintain regular liaison with project team members, the Flight Centre Executive Team, key internal stakeholders and additional third parties.
As this is an on-site role, candidates must be based in, or be willing to relocate to, Brisbane.
What you will be doing:
- Provide visionary leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to your team leaders and team members
- Establish clear performance metrics and goals, conducting regular reviews and providing constructive feedback
- Contribute to the global Customer Engagement function and best practices, including deploying and adhering to new standards and ways of working
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define program and project requirements, objectives, and success criteria
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the program lifecycle
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
- Line management of regional project managers and other project team resources, as needed
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects within the regions, ensuring they are completed within defined scope, timelines, and budget parameters
- Collaborate proactively with product, technology and wider business teams to identify and mitigate risks, escalating issues as necessary
- Regularly monitor and report project progress to senior management and stakeholders
- Identify and assess potential risks and issues that may impact program delivery
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful program outcomes
- Monitor resource utilisation and adjust plans as needed to address changing circumstances
Hours: Standard business hours Monday to Friday – plus some reasonable outside of hours to service global business partners
Salary: $130 to $150 k p.a. plus superannuation/incentives (depending on experience)
What you will need:
Minimum requirements
- 7+ years in Transformational Change, managing programs and/or projects contributing to strategic goals
- Demonstrable Project and Program Management skills for medium to large programs of work
- Project Management qualification desirable, e.g. Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2, etc
- Bachelor/master’s in business or related field of study
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, including strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

- Prior experience in a matrixed global role
