FCTG is looking for a dynamic and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Lead to join our Air Systems team. The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead for the Air Team department is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and reliability of all testing processes within the department. This role involves leading a team of QA professionals, developing and implementing testing strategies, and ensuring that all products and services meet the highest standards of quality.
Day to day:
- Coordinate testing across multiple Agile teams, ensuring that quality practices are integrated into every stage of the Agile lifecycle, from sprint planning to release
- Oversee end-to-end testing of features and user stories, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing
- Develop and implement Agile-based testing strategies, methodologies, and standards
- Work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, break them into testable user stories, and ensure effective test coverage
- Develop and maintain test plans that align with Agile sprints
- Lead the adoption of test automation within the Agile process
- Define, track, and report on key quality metrics such as defect density, code coverage, and test effectiveness in an Agile context
- Lead, mentor, and train QA engineers within Agile teams, promoting Agile testing best practices and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate risks early in the development cycle
- Advocate for continuous improvement in testing practices, promoting the use of new tools, techniques, and methodologies that drive efficiency, reduce testing cycle times, and improve overall product quality
