About the position on offer: Maternity Leave Fixed Term- 9 months
As a key member of the Flight Centre Australia senior leadership team, you will partner with the Flight Centre Australia General Manager in driving growth and sustainable profit for the business.
This role will also be responsible leading the local commercial and operational finance teams to drive planning and forecasting and maintaining strong financial health in our mid office platforms.
The role will report into the Global Brand CFO and the successful candidate needs to be an experienced finance professional who is commercially astute and demonstrates strong leadership and communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. (GM of Australia for Stores and Online)
Commercial Acumen:
- Partnering with the Operational leader to understand impacts of past performance as well as future trends to find new opportunities or enhance current business performance.
- Manage cost control and policies attached to cost control across the company
- SME & owner for finance deployments/enhancements.
Financial Reporting & Review:
- Provide weekly and monthly performance-based reporting. This includes value add analysis across all business drivers that enables business stakeholders to make informed decisions
- Work with the Operations Leader to develop and review Profit and Loss forecasts that reflect the operational targets and are aligned with Global strategy
- Working with the Brand Financial Controller to ensure there is adequate financial controls and strong financial integrity of the financial results for both the store network and online
- Work with the Risk management teams to ensure the internal control and review in place supports the organisation objectives
Leadership and Culture:
- Culturally aligned and able to embrace the FCTG culture and philosophies
Experience:
- High attention to detail
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience leading a finance team
- 3-5+ Years working experience in a similar role
- Tertiary level qualification in relevant field
- Advanced time management and prioritisation skills
- CA/CPA qualification or another relevant post graduate qualification
- High level of commercial acumen and communicate complex financial information simplistically
- Strong business partnering skills, managing, and influencing stakeholders, building relationships
- A self-starter, able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
- Advanced experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel, Powerpoint, Power Bi
- Salary Range on Offer: $120k-160k Plus Super (based on experience)
