About the Opportunity
Professional Development Team, People and Culture Division - 12-month Secondment - Brisbane based role
Team Leader, Leisure L&D Australia.
A rare and exciting secondment opportunity has become available to lead the Australian based Leisure Brands' L&D Team. Reporting to the Global Leisure L&D Leader, this is a crucial role in overseeing the discovery, development and delivery of professional development programs to our leisure team members.
The purpose of this role focuses on the following key areas:
Development and Deployment of Learning Initiatives
- The L&D Team Leader is responsible for ensuring effective and appropriate learning strategies that align with the Brand goals are deployed as per business requirements. This includes engaging with key global stakeholders such as SME's, Senior Leaders and other L&D peers to ensure on time delivery of key initiatives.
Team Leadership and Management
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to ensure that team members are effective in delivering programs. Assign responsibilities, monitor performance and foster a collaborative environment to achieve individual and team goals.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure accuracy of high-quality content following process and design principles. Assess the effectiveness of programs through feedback, evaluations, and assessments, and make improvements when necessary.
Collaboration with Other Areas
- Collaborate with other area such as Product, Finance, Marketing, HR, operations, P&C/L&D teams and key senior management, to ensure that training aligns with broader business objectives, and that learning opportunities are integrated across FCTG.
Budget and Resource Management
- Managing the budget/costs for training and development, allocate tasks and projects ensuring that resources are used effectively. Provide leadership support to global L&D projects in conjunction with the Global L&D Leader.
Fostering a Learning Culture
- Lead by example in promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement of self, within the team and wider organisation. Support an organisational environment where ongoing learning and development is viewed as a vital element for career growth and success.
Tracking and Reporting
- The leader is responsible for tracking the progress of training initiatives, assessing the return on investment (ROI), and reporting results to senior management or stakeholders.

The role is key in supporting the strategic growth of our Leisure Brands globally.

You'll be perfect for the role if you have:
Previous Leadership experience. 5+ years of L&D experience. Ability to influence senior stakeholders. An outstanding track record of results and personal branding.
