Purpose:
|
The Sales and Technical Leader (STL) is responsible to lead and provide sales and technology support to their team. The key responsibility is to win new business sales for Corporate Traveller.
|
Primary duties and responsibilities (KRAs)
|
Drive the sales team vision, business plan and goals
- Assist NSL with the deployment of current strategies and goals;
- Use all vehicles of communication to implement vision, business plan and goals at team and individual level;
- Understand trends in the market through knowing and contributing to our competitor landscape;
- Provide the team with daily, monthly, quarterly and annual plans;
- Drive the main KPIs at team and individual level
- Manage team and individual results;

Manage and lead people
- Manage performance against agreed KPIs
- Have team and individual development plans in place to identify, nurture and develop talent;
- Inspire others as a role model by communicating a compelling vision, delivering and increasing agreed KPIs and assisting the team in acquiring new business;
- Balances people and business needs through constant communication: 101s, weekly business meetings, joint appointments, emails, quarterly performance review meetings;
- Develop Assistant Team Lead

Manage sales funnel and pipeline
- Develop team and individual plans to manage the sales funnel and pipeline;
- Monitor and report on sales funnel and pipeline on a weekly basis;
- Monitor RSVP selling on all relevant accounts;
- Coach team and individuals to manage sales funnel and pipeline;
- Assist NSL with developing and continuously refreshing sales training;
- Assist with the implementation of the national sales strategy at team level;
- Monitor and drive activity on a daily basis to maintain a healthy sales funnel;
- Participate in expected number of joint meetings to ensure growth of the
team’s pipeline;

- Lead by example with own sales funnel and pipeline;
- Build relationships and assist team in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
|
Tech Subject Matter Expert
- Be the ‘go to’ subject matter expert for your team on all things related to Corporate Traveller tech suite and assist when technical responses are requested;
- Drive tech sales in the team;
- Provide support to your team for onsite or virtual demos;
- Ensure and work towards excellent tech acumen within your team;
- Own the tech training with the team;
- Assist with increasing tech adoption once accounts have been won;
- Have good knowledge and constantly scout for updates on competitor’s
tech suite;

Manage and achieve results
- Achieve weekly, monthly and annual new business targets as agreed;
- Work with NSL in developing sales and marketing plans to achieve growth
- Grow annual new business, and new business per person - as per budget
|

Job Requirements
|
Education and qualification:
|
Tertiary qualification (NQF Level 5)
|
Min Expectations:
|
- 2 years’ experience in sales
- Min 1.2 mil/month NBTO average for the past 3 months
- Min 6 First Apps/month average for the past 3 months
- Ability to demonstrate tech acumen;
- Leadership experience and development is advantageous;
