We are looking for a smart and driven individual to be responsible for analyzing data trends on our platform with our company. In this role, you will be supporting our team with dashboard development, advanced data analysis and support of the day to day business with data inquiries.  Specific duties will require the applicant to have a strong background using the Microsoft Business Intelligence suite or similar, with an emphasis on SQL and database architecture. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and take ownership of data science projects from start to finish through data gathering, modeling, analysis, presentation, monitoring, and iterating on improvements
  • Selecting and engineering features based on mining massive data sets
  • Communicate and collaborate with finance, sales, marketing, IT and account management
  • Adhoc analysis of travel data for internal review & external clients
  • Work on assigned special projects commensurate with their abilities, experience and skill level
  • Provide training to other company personnel on data & reporting
  • Use statistical, machine learning techniques to build models that address business needs

 

Skills Required:

  • Strong research, analytical, math, and logic abilities
  • Database experience with SQL Server or similar platform
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, GoodData, Business Objects, Tec)
  • Data warehousing, data mart and database technologies, standards, and methodologies
  • Analysis and design skills, critical thinking, and analytical problem solving
  • Ability to work well cross functionally, especially with technical teams
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, handle a diverse workload, and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Analyze to determine data anomalies
  • R Studio & Python
