Job Purpose

The Infinity Group Accountant/Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring robust financial control, managing the financial risk and preparation of true and fair financial records for the Group. This includes consolidation and tracking of the financial performance, financial control for the group, financial reporting and analysis of results and key metrics along with variance analysis.The Analyst also plays a key role in developing the commercial acumen of sales team leaders.


Financial Control

Ensure the integrity of all financial data by:

  • Preparing monthly Profit and Loss statements, ensuring accuracy of information and completeness of files with supporting documentation
  • Review Balance Sheets for teams, ensuring that all balances are correct
  • Preparation of Profit & Loss analysis per team
  • Preparation of additional reports as required for inclusion in reporting pack
  • Complete eliminations and checklist
  • Ensure consistent and compliant accounting across the group

Strategic and Operational

  • Conduct business reviews using financial records to identify opportunities and ensure profit maximisation
  • Design reporting to capture key business indicators
  • Identifying, reviewing and documenting improvements to existing business processes
  • Analyse monthly results for variances and provide insight

Monitoring of Cost Control

  • Ensure compliance and adherence with company policies (Operational Expense Guidelines), and relevant accounting standards 
  • Review all expense items and ensuring accuracy of charges
  • Involvement in cost workshops with Finance team

Shop Audits / Sales TL Development

  • Preparation of monthly internal shop audits
  • Sales team leader commercial acumen development


  • Assist with special projects and improvement initiatives
  • Assist Commercial Analyst team in budget and forecast process

Skills and Abilities

  • Min 12 months’ experience in a commercial environment
  • CA/CPA/relevant qualification (or working towards)
  • Ensure all accounting standards & statutory compliance are in place
  • Intermediate level MS Office suite
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer focus
  • Strong relationship building skills
