At Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) our purpose is to 'open up the world for those who want to see'. Every day, we give people all around the world the opportunity to experience something amazing – travel!

The Business Analyst will join the Integrations Services division, who are responsible for the Common Core services that power Flight Centre. The team create Booking Management capability, enabling our brands and experience teams to effectively search, cart, book and manage travel products.

As we build agentic ways of working across our engineering organisation, this role sits at the intersection of domain expertise and AI-powered delivery. You'll work directly with business stakeholders and engineers to capture complex business knowledge and transform it into the context that powers our future workflows — the system prompts, knowledge bases, and structured artefacts that agents and humans alike will rely on.

Day to day:

  • Capture and transform business requirements and domain knowledge into human and agent-readable context to inform engineering system design
  • Author and maintain agentic context artefacts — system prompts, domain knowledge bases, tool definitions, and structured business rules
  • Consolidate requirements across multiple competing stakeholder groups — product, finance, data, engineering, and suppliers — negotiating trade-offs and driving to a single coherent spec
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders, engineers and solution architects to ensure agentic system design accurately reflects business intent and domain constraints
  • Conduct gap analysis across current-state processes and proposed agentic solutions, surfacing risks and recommending mitigations
  • Maintain high-quality documentation for all solutions, ensuring implicit domain knowledge is externalised and accessible to both humans and systems

You'll be perfect for the role if you have:

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst in technical software engineering environments
  • Demonstrated experience working with transactional or financial systems — booking platforms, payments, ERP, or similar domains
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to build and iterate on system context — including authoring system prompts, structuring knowledge bases, and refining context artefacts based on model output
  • Proven ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups simultaneously, negotiating conflicting requirements and consolidating them into a coherent, actionable specification
  • Experience working directly with engineers and solution architects as a peer, not just a conduit
  • Comfortable operating autonomously with a senior reporting line and minimal supervision
