Data Analyst & Engineer – World360 Rewards

About the Role

Join the team shaping how we capture, process, and visualise data for World360 Rewards—Flight Centre Travel Group's loyalty program.

You'll combine analytical expertise with technical data engineering skills: building the dashboards that tell our loyalty story while developing and maintaining the pipelines that power them. Working across Power BI, Databricks, and Salesforce, you'll ensure World360 Rewards data flows seamlessly from source to insight—equipping stakeholders with reliable, actionable intelligence to drive member value and program growth.

What You'll Do

Dashboard Development & Visualisation
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards tracking program performance, member behaviour, and brand impact
  • Build and optimise data models using DAX to support efficient reporting and analysis
  • Implement row-level security and data governance controls
  • Create paginated reports for detailed operational and financial reporting requirements
  • Establish consistent design standards across the Loyalty team
Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
  • Design and maintain data pipelines in Databricks for extracting, transforming, and loading loyalty data
  • Implement star schema design patterns with fact and dimension tables
  • Build slowly changing dimensions (SCD Type 2), merge operations, and incremental load logic
  • Develop data quality monitoring, validation rules, and automated alerts for anomalies
  • Document data flows, transformations, dependencies, and business rules
Integration & Analytics
  • Extract and integrate data from Salesforce Loyalty Management and Data Cloud into the Databricks lakehouse
  • Build cross-platform integrations between Salesforce, booking systems, and enterprise data warehouse
  • Report on key metrics including member lifetime value, earn/redemption rates, acquisition, churn risk, and program ROI
  • Build revenue accrual tracking, monthly financial reconciliation reports, and executive dashboards
  • Support audit requirements and financial reporting compliance for loyalty program revenue recognition
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with the World360 Rewards team, brand leadership, and Global Leisure data team
  • Create technical and business-facing documentation to support system understanding
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences
  • Support UAT cycles and guide business users through system changes

What You'll Bring

Required
  • 3-4 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or BI Developer role
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI including dashboard design, Databricks, and data modelling
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks (or similar platforms) for pipeline development
  • Strong SQL skills for extraction, transformation, validation, and complex query optimisation
  • Experience with dimensional modelling, data warehouse design patterns, and slowly changing dimensions
  • Experience with Azure cloud services (Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
Added Advantage
  • Experience working with Salesforce data (Loyalty Management, Data Cloud, Sales/Service Cloud)
  • Background in loyalty programs, travel, or retail industries
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
  • Python or PySpark for data transformation
  • Familiarity with Git/version control for analytics code
  • Understanding of hash-based change detection and data versioning techniques
  • Experience supporting financial audit processes and compliance reporting
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate
