About The Opportunity
As our Director of Sales & Marketing in Japan, you’ll lead the charge in driving growth and expanding FCM’s presence in a key global market, Japan. You’ll bring enterprise clients into the FCM family, helping them discover smarter, simpler ways to manage corporate travel through our innovative solutions.
We’re looking for a strategic sales leader and relationship builder who thrives on results. With strong knowledge and experience in Marketing and Partnerships, you’ll own the full sales journey, craft go-to-market strategies and elevate FCM’s brand across Japan—all while being part of a dynamic, globally connected team. What You Will Do:
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute high-impact sales strategies to identify, target, and secure enterprise-level clients in Japan.
- Own and drive the full sales cycle — from prospecting and qualification to negotiation, closing, and onboarding.
- Achieve and exceed revenue, profitability, and TTV targets through strategic account management and new business acquisition.
- Build a deep understanding of the Japanese corporate travel and mobility landscape, identifying emerging opportunities and competitive differentiators.
- Establish and nurture long-term client relationships through consultative selling, strategic networking, and executive-level engagement.
- Create and deliver customized value-based proposals, RFIs/RFPs, and presentations that highlight commercial and operational benefits.
- Forecast and report accurately on pipeline activity, conversion rates, and sales performance using Salesforce CRM.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (finance, operations, product, HR) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Represent Japan within regional and global leadership discussions, contributing market insights and growth strategies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess sales effectiveness and continuously optimise performance.
Brand Marketing & Partnerships
- Partner with regional marketing teams to plan and execute targeted campaigns, events, and content that support pipeline development and client retention.
- Adapt global brand messaging to resonate with local market dynamics and cultural nuances.
- Build strategic alliances and partnerships that enhance commercial visibility and drive referral opportunities.
- Serve as a brand ambassador at industry forums, conferences, and client events to elevate brand presence and thought leadership.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven track record of driving enterprise sales growth and exceeding revenue targets in the corporate travel, mobility, or B2B services sectors.
- A strategic hunter - with demonstrated success in building new business pipelines and closing large-scale deals.
- A relationship builder - having strong and authentic connections with all levels to negotiate and influence.
- Strong business acumen
- Experienced in leveraging CRM (Salesforce) and data analytics to manage sales performance.
- An expert of marketing principles and experience collaborating on campaign and event execution.
- Excellent communicator and presenter in both Japanese and English.
- A highly collaborative team player with strong leadership presence and ability to align cross-functional teams.
