Financial Controller – Corporate Brands (ANZ)

 

We're seeking a commercially minded, results-driven Financial Controller to lead and enhance financial operations across our ANZ Corporate Travel portfolio. This is a pivotal role where you’ll drive end-to-end financial control, lead transactional finance functions, and support strategic decision-making at the executive level. You’ll be empowered to innovate, influence change, and contribute to the growth and efficiency of the finance function—internally and for our valued customers. 

 

 

 

Your Impact

Reporting to the Global Head of Corporate Transactional Finance and the GM of Finance – Corporate ANZ, you’ll take ownership of all aspects of Transactional Finance (AP, AR, Reconciliations) and Financial Control across the Corporate Travel division. You’ll lead a large, high-performing team, including offshore operations, and play a key role in process improvement and automation projects that enhance both internal operations and the customer experience.

This is a high-exposure role with significant engagement across senior leadership and an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of financial services for one of the travel industry’s leading corporate groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Accounts Payable, Credit Control, Commission Collection, Reconciliations, Financial Accounting, and Management Accounting functions across Australia and New Zealand

  • Oversee and optimise the performance of our offshore finance teams, ensuring SLAs and service quality standards are met

  • Collaborate globally as a key member of the Global Transactional Finance Senior Leadership Team, driving process standardisation and efficiencies across regions

  • Build strong relationships with Operations and Suppliers to ensure data integrity and process excellence

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement focused on cost-efficiency, risk mitigation, and customer satisfaction

  • Partner with Technology teams to roll out system enhancements and automation initiatives

  • Lead through change—motivate and guide your team through a dynamic business landscape

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end processes and financial reporting

  • Manage coordination of external audits and statutory reporting

  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the broader Finance team

  • Align team culture and performance with broader Corporate ANZ finance strategy

 

 

 

 

About You

You’re a dynamic and customer-centric finance leader who thrives in fast-paced environments. With a strong foundation in financial control, you bring strategic insight, a passion for operational improvement, and the leadership to inspire high-performing teams. You’re analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused, capable of navigating complexity while delivering clarity and value.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within a large, multi-brand or B2B organization

  • Proven success in financial control and process improvement

  • CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent post-graduate finance certification)

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, cross-functional and offshore teams

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ownership mentality

  • Strategic thinker with strong risk awareness and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in delivering finance transformation initiatives or business process enhancements

  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial data
