Flight Centre Travel Group are seeking a diligent Program Manager to join our Corporate Project Management Office team. We are looking for someone who is self-driven and self-motivated with a strong efficiency of partnering and building relationships. The Program Manager will support and guide teams throughout the planning, delivery and execution of a range of initiatives. This will include developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets and risks, meeting reporting requirements, facilitating decisions and supporting initiative related activities to ensure outcomes deliver benefits.

 

What you'll do...

  • Be fully accountable for the planning, delivery and execution of projects within the relevant value stream. These will be achieved on time, on budget and within agreed scope in line with the Program Management Office framework
  • Effective coordination of resources and time to achieve deliverables within a timely manner
  • Effective management of risks, issues and dependencies
  • Consult and negotiate with diverse stakeholders at all levels by managing their expectations, viewpoints, and interests regarding the scope, complexity, and sensitivity of projects to deadlines
  • Be a coach for the Program Management Office frameworks
  • Guide others on how to effectively deliver initiatives
  • Provide guidance and leadership to unblock project work, including managing resourcing, budget, quality, scope and timelines
  • Demonstrate strong familiarity with program/project management tools and the Agile methodology
  • Effectively document and manage detailed project risks and issues and escalate/communicate these to relevant leaders as required
  • Consider, recommend, and drive the change management approaches suitable to the change impact, size and nature of the project
  • Contribute to the Project Management practice through continuous improvement initiatives

 

Who you are...

  • 2-5+ years demonstrated experience in project or program management
  • Hands on experience of program/project management processes, systems, standards and procedures
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Experience using project scheduling/planning tools like MS Project/Planner/Smartsheet/Wrike
  • General industry knowledge (SDLC, ITIL, Agile)
  • Aptitude for solving problems and thinking outside the box
  • Experience in managing programs of work end to end, from definition to operational and customer rollout.

 

Extra travel points if you have...

  • Relevant industry certification (PgMP, Prince2, PMP, PMI-ACP)
  • Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Travel industry experience
