WhereTo began as a San Francisco-based business travel startup and has since evolved into an agile development and design studio within the Flight Centre Travel Group family. Our mission is simple: to make business travel better for everyone.

We provide an AI-powered platform that transforms corporate travel. Using machine learning, it tailors personalized travel recommendations based on traveler preferences, company policies, and budget. Our technology also offers real-time travel tracking, reporting, and cost analysis, helping companies optimize their travel programs and reduce expenses.

Key Responsibilities...

• Develop UI components using JavaScript libraries like React.js, Redux, and Node.js/npm.
• Help lead the Front-End team to write code that's fast, scalable, and user-friendly.
• Make sure we're on point with virtual-DOM, pure reducers, and immutable data structures in our code.

 

 

Experience & Qualifications...

• 4+ years professional software development experience (internships and personal projects not included).
• 2+ years experience with React.js or other web framework (Vue.js, Angular, Ember, etc.).
• Experience with state containers (i.e. Redux, Alt, Flux).
• Experience with modern JavaScript (ES6, Babel, FlowType and/or TypeScript, Webpack).
• HTML5 (specifically dealing with IE quirks).
• JavaScript testing experience (Mocha, Jasmine and Jest).
• Experienced in Agile development and TDD / BDD.
• Able to iterate quickly.
• Strong understanding of Git fundamentals.
• Experience with pure-functional programming is a bonus (Ramda, Lo-Dash FP, etc.).
• Interest in full-stack development is a bonus.
