We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Leader to join our Meetings & Events team. As the Sales Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, developing client relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team to deliver exceptional event, group and incentive solutions.

 

Role Overview

As the Sales Leader – FCM Meetings & Events, you will be responsible for leading and executing the strategic sales initiatives for our Meetings & Events division. This includes developing and managing key client relationships, driving sales performance, and overseeing the end-to-end sales process. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of event services that exceed client expectations while also meeting business objectives.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Leadership:

  • Lead sales efforts by developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy. Provide direction and leadership to the sales team to meet and exceed revenue targets

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic relationships with key clients in the corporate and academic industries. Build and maintain long-term relationships to drive repeat business and brand loyalty

Team Development & Support:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the sales team to achieve optimal performance, including setting goals and providing coaching with regular reviews

Sales Forecasting & Reporting:

  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports and forecasts to management groups within the business

Collaboration with Operations:

  • Work closely with the event operations team to ensure seamless execution of client events, from initial sales pitch to final delivery

Market Knowledge & Networking:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies. Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build brand presence and identify growth opportunities

 

 

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales leadership role within the Meetings & Events, hospitality, or corporate travel industry
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of building, motivating, and managing high-performing teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions that drive sales growth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior executives and diverse client groups
  • A degree in business, hospitality management, marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in Salesforce and the MS office suite essential
