About the Opportunity

The Data Insights Analyst role sits within the Flight Centre Global Business Improvement team, based in the South Brisbane head office. The team is made up of various SMEs such as Project Managers, Business Analysts and Digital Adoption Specialists and is tasked with improving business outcomes through the Business Process Management framework:

 

 

 

This is an opportunity to work within a dynamic project team in a complex environment influencing and driving change. You will need to demonstrate experience in data analytics and insights generation.

 

What you will be doing:

Data Insights

  • Capture and interpret data from a range of internal and external sources, translate them into strategic insights and communicate these findings to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Conduct high-level research and strategic analysis to advance and inform Flight Centre Travel Group’s strategy, strategic projects and business cases
  • Assist with the provision of ad-hoc analysis and formal reports, distil the meaningful insights from data and effectively convey this to different audiences
  • Present complex content and insights in easy to digest way for stakeholder to be able to action
  • Employ best practice in report design and delivery (e.g. UAT protocols, redundancy and disaster recovery)

Knowledge Management

  • Manage and maintain internal knowledge management systems (KMS), including Confluence, with rules and operational procedures for reporting tools created and implemented
  • Effectively communicate and on-training with local and remote SME’s to dashboards and other data artifacts designed and deployed
  • Contribute to Community of Practice sessions and follow agreed standards

Internal and External Stakeholder Communication

  • Continuously improve internal and external stakeholder communication practices
  • Utilise appropriate products (Confluence, Microsoft Teams, GitHub, etc) to meet communication and collaboration requirements
  • Work with stakeholders to achieve adoption targets
  • Provide advice, training and support to college staff to build data analytics acumen within the team

 

What you will need:

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within an enterprise environment working with Data
  • Experience in data visualisation (e.g. Microsoft PowerBI) and SQL
  • Advanced Excel skills

Desirable

  • Microsoft PowerApp suite
  • Automation experience
  • Python or React (R Suite)
  • Databricks
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in business or related field of study
  • Travel & Tourism industry domain experience
