About The Opportunity

As an Operations Specialist, you will support the Air NBA Charter Program, handling charter flights for the NBA, WNBA, NHL, MLB, and VIP clients. Your role involves optimizing flight schedules, ensuring accurate billing, and building relationships with charter suppliers. This position requires strong organizational and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to be on-call 24/7 for operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Air NBA Charter Program which consists of charter flying for the NBA, WNBA, NHL, MLB, and other VIP clients.
  • Review aircraft flight schedules to optimize routing while identifying scheduling issues to pro-actively mitigate operational risks.
  • Closely monitoring and providing quality control of invoices in connection with such items as flight schedules, catering, fuel reconciliation and commissions.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects.
  • Provide timely billing information to appropriate parties.
  • Ability to be on-call 24/7 on preplanned days to promptly respond to any and all operational issues that regularly arise.
  • Obtain charter quotes for international and domestic charters including Global Games / NBA Finals and other ad hoc requirements.
  • Build relationships with charter aircraft suppliers.
  • Assist with the contracting of charter flights and all follow-up requirements.
  • Participate in operational planning calls for international/domestic charter flights to ensure all goes smoothly.
  • Meet with team travel representatives to ensure they are satisfied with their charter operations.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Airline operational experience and/or sales experience a plus.
  • Ability to work from the Phoenix area a plus but not a requirement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong communication, organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Highly reliable and fully committed to 24/7 charter operations with regular on-call requirements.
  • Must fully comply with the rules of conduct relating to game tickets, photographs, social media, and autographs.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $80,000 - $100,000. Base salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
