About The Opportunity

The role of a Social Media Content Manager at Corporate Traveler is your ticket to an exciting journey where creativity meets business travel! We're looking for a social media maestro who can craft captivating content that jet-sets our brand to new heights. If you have a knack for turning layovers into laugh-out-loud moments and business trips into buzzworthy tales, then this role is for you. You'll be creating engaging posts that primarily resonate with our busy executive assistant audience, inspiring them to put their faith in our technology and travel experts. Get ready to navigate the social media skies, boost our brand's presence, and have a little fun along the way.

This role is almost entirely focused on developing and executing an organic social strategy and will suit someone who lives and breathes social, knows the value of storytelling and hates sitting in the middle seat! It’s the perfect blend of strategy, managing partnership needs, production, community engagement and reporting.

As this role covers both Canada and the USA, ideal candidates will be based in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong collaboration with Brand Marketing, Content Marketing and Digital Marketing to develop and execute a Social Media strategy across all key channels
  • Develop, design, plan and execute social media assets and campaigns across all existing and emerging platforms.
  • Establish visual language and branded content that will effectively communicate with target consumer and audience.
  • Stay current with industry/social/advertising and cultural trends.
  • Work in close partnership with our Brand, Digital, Events and Partnership teams to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met and within budget.
  • Where required, collaborate effectively with designers, copywriters, and digital marketers to produce social-first storytelling content.
  • Execute on-site storytelling at certain events, trade shows, partnership opportunities and more.
  • Collaborate with our Paid Digital Media team to maintain a reasonable level of understanding of the paid social media strategy operating in region.
  • Monitor all social platforms and community channels (such as G2 and Reddit etc) to maintain positive engagement and handle customer queries.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Passion for all things social media – you can’t stay off your phone, you speak in GIF’s and meme accounts are your love language.
  • Ability to creatively produce for all video formats, as well as some static image-based content.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders within Corporate Traveller
  • Passionate and able to create high to low-production social media content
  • Proficiency in social media editing apps such as Canva and native platform tools
  • Enthusiasm to execute and learn on-the-go without waiting for permission or perfection
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and motivate creative team members and provide clear creative direction
  • Ability to see stories and content in every experience to bring to life our ‘Watermelon Culture’
  • Possess advanced knowledge of all social media platforms and trends in marketing and social media
  • Some experience working with influencers is a plus
  • Autonomous, highly motivated and goal-oriented

  • Must present samples of relevant work
  • Minimum of 2-year Social Media Marketing experience required
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other editing software (Canva etc)
  • Personal passion and participation on social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
  • Proficient in social media native insights, capabilities and Microsoft Office tools
  • Intermediate knowledge of social media management tools (eg; Salesforce Social Studio, Oktopost, Hootsuite, Sprout Social or similar) – we use Oktopost

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $69,000 - $78,000. Base salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
