About the Opportunity

The Heartland Commercial Analyst is instrumental in partnering with Operation and Financial functions to ensure that nation strategies are effectively deployed and delivered.

As Commercial Analyst, you are responsible for supporting the Commercial Leader and Area Sales Manager to deliver brand strategies.With Leisure Finance moving towards being a World Class finance function, the ability to accept, embrace and empower others to change is paramount. Profit, Productivity and Sales growth will be the measure of success!

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Area Sales Manager in driving and implementing key strategic initiatives
  • Developing business models which support sustainable profitable growth
  • Design management reports effectively capturing the key business indicators
  • Provide commercial support and develop commercial acumen of operational leaders
  • Conduct area business reviews identifying productivity improvement opportunities
  • Ensure financial integrity of operational results and processes
  • Responsible for preparation of all management and financial reporting for four areas
  • Assist with the preparation of forecasts and budgets for areas and the nation
  • Collaborate with other Finance teams to streamline and automate processes
  • Financial control across all parts of the areas including financial results and support accounts
  • Risk Control and Mitigation
  • Partner with Leisure Operations Finance to deliver a seamless finance experience
  • Adhere to Flight Centre communication standards and participate in effective team meetings and planning days

Skills/Experience

  • Preferred CPA/CA or studying towards
  • Strong commercial acumen and technical knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing business strategy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills with initiative to resolve issues or pursue business opportunities as they are identified
  • Strong customer focus
  • Demonstrated ability in delivering on deadlines
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and pressure
