Job Purpose

In this role you will be responsible for the creation, implementation and deployment of the product strategy for Travel Club, Flight Centre Travel Group's only members' only leisure business. You will contribute to the overall business strategy of this exciting, growing business by providing product expertise and insights as part of the SWOT (leadership) team. The role will also provide all front line communications, ongoing coaching and training, whilst working with the Marketing team to ensure the right product mix is advertised to our member base.

This role is for a Product Manager to help curate this exclusive product for our private members' club, and may be based in either Brisbane or Sydney.

Accountabilities

  • Create, implement and deploy Travel Club product strategy
  • Contribute to the wider Travel Club business strategy via SWOT meetings and planning days
  • Liaise with suppliers to create and deploy unique products and packages to Travel Club customers
  • Increase TTV on our preferred partners, and increase land and insurance attachment to bookings
  • Keep up-to-date with all FCTG roll outs and systems and keep Travel Managers across relevant changes
  • Maximise Travel Manager expertise and margin by linking Travel Managers with appropriate product training, internal and external
  • Load product into FCTG systems to populate EDM & website
  • Report to the business on key Product KPIs 

Skills and Experience

  • Min 5 years travel industry experience
  • Expert understanding of building, pricing and the components that make up airfares, including fare rules and reissues
  • Expert understanding of Sabre
  • Good understanding of retail, airline and supplier processes and systems including: Sabre, Quickdox, Excel, Procat, Word & Gmail
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills in order to present a compelling case to suppliers to provide unique product to Travel Club database
  • Relationship building skills in order to help grow key preferred carriers and suppliers, offer advice and guidance, obtain waivers and favours
  • Ability to multi-task with effective time management
  • Represent a professional image of Travel Club
  • Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to travel when required
