Project Manager, Flights and Website Operations

 

Studentuniverse is the largest student focused travel website in the US, currently operating in the US, UK, and now, Australia. Our activities are predominantly online, and we identify as a tech business, as much as a travel company.   

 

We are looking for a project manager to join our small but growing team. The right candidate is creative, thinks outside of the box, and loves a good challenge. This role offers a lot of excitement the projects and enhancements can greatly affect flight options our customers see on the website. 

 

We’re located right in a Commuter Rail stop, next to Brandeis University in Waltham. We offer flexible work schedules, travel perks, and are a fun, relaxed, but hard working team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, priorities, and deliverables using business cases and specifications

  • Define project tasks and resource requirements while providing direction and support to project team

  • Work directly with airfare booking engine partners exploring enhancements and opportunities to our current processes and future projects

  • Monitor current production performance and suggest improvements or report any bugs or issues

  • Manage a small testing team focused on flights and airfare booking engine technology

 

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, communications, marketing or a related field with 1-3 years experience in project management or related discipline

  • Travel industry experience, including knowledge of GDS (Sabre preferred) and airline contracts

  • Experience with software development lifecycles such as Agile and workflow tools such as JIRA

  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills with proven experience in people management
