We're searching for a strategic and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our D365 Finance & Operations team. This role is pivotal to our enterprise finance transformation initiatives, concentrating on optimizing business processes, gathering requirements, and supporting system enhancements across the D365 F&O platform. You will serve as a key liaison between our finance business users and the functional/technical team, ensuring solutions meet business needs while maintaining operational integrity in a complex and highly customised setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-to-end business analysis activities across projects and BAU workstreams, focusing on Finance modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash & Bank Management
  • Lead workshops and stakeholder interviews to capture and validate business requirements, pain points, and future-state goals
  • Analyze, map, and document as-is and to-be business processes
  • Work closely with functional consultants, providing them with clear, structured requirements to support FDD creation
  • Engage in the review of functional design and solution proposals to ensure alignment with business needs
  • Assist in test planning and execution by defining acceptance criteria, preparing test scenarios, and coordinating UAT
  • Contribute to change management, training documentation, and process handovers to operational teams
  • Track and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to the Product Manager and other key stakeholders
  • Help assess the business impact of Microsoft D365 F&O updates and participate in version upgrade readiness analysis

 

 

About You:

Essential:

  • Accounting experience with a strong understanding of financial processes—particularly GL, AR, AP, Cash & Bank—and how they are supported in ERP systems
  • A willingness to learn Business Analyst skills and translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements
  • Strong proficiency in process mapping, stakeholder engagement, and business impact analysis
  • Skilled in using Azure DevOps or similar tools for managing user stories and backlog items
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and align diverse stakeholder groups
  • Experience working in an agile or hybrid delivery environment

Desirable:

  • Experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency finance environment
  • Background in travel, retail, or similar fast-paced industries
  • Exposure to Power BI or the Power Platform is a bonus
